I get a park wrapper error when trying to addon or park a domain Print

Whilst attempting to park or addon a domain name, if you are getting a message similar to:

Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.

This can sometimes happen if either:

  1. You try to add a domain before changing its DNS nameserver records to Farbyte's nameservers (ns1.farbyte.com and ns2.farbyte.com), or
  2. You have updated the nameservers with your registrar, but they have not yet updated the actual DNS record, or
  3. The DNS record we have cached in our DNS infrastructure for the domain is stale (i.e. out of date), which should automatically resolve itself within 24 hours

You should wait for up to 24 hours for your domain registrar to update their record and stale DNS records to expire.
If you have waited 24 hours and are still experiencing issues, please raise a support ticket with Farbyte support.
