  • 0

To reconfigure Outlook ports and servers, go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings, select your email, click Change, then More Settings to find the Advanced tab for server ports (IMAP/POP, SMTP) and encryption (SSL/TLS).

Use the server name and ports provided in your Welcome email and test the settings.

Step-by-Step Guide (Desktop Outlook)

  1. Open Settings: Click File, then Account Settings, and select Account Settings... from the dropdown.
  2. Select Account: Choose the email account you want to change and click Change.
  3. Access More Settings: Click the More Settings... button.
  4. Configure Advanced Settings:
    • Go to the Advanced tab.
    • Incoming Server (IMAP/POP): Enter the server address and select encryption (SSL/TLS). See your Welcome email.
    • Outgoing Server (SMTP): Enter the server address and select encryption (STARTTLS or SSL). Enter the port that corresponds to the encryption you are using (see you Welcome email)
  5. Check Outgoing Server Authentication: Go to the Outgoing Server tab (within More Settings) and ensure "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is checked.
  6. Test Settings: Click Next or Test Account Settings to verify the changes.
