To connect to your Farbyte UK email only hosting account you will need to enter the email account settings directly into your iPhone/iPod Touch.
If this is the first account you're setting up on the iPhone or the iPod Touch, tap Mail.
Otherwise, from the Home screen, choose Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.
On the next screen, you will need to select the type of email account you wish to setup.
To connect to your Farbyte email or your Farbyte VPS cPanel email, select Other.
Depending on your IOS version, you may then need to select Add Mail Account.
The next step is to choose the server type, either - IMAP or POP can be selected (we recommend IMAP).
At this point, you should enter your email account information.
Shared Web & Email Hosting
For shared UK cPanel web hosting, complete the email account information form as follows:
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Host Name: [SMTP HOST ADDRESS FROM YOUR WELCOME EMAIL]
- User Name: [ACCOUNT-NAME]@[YOUR-DOMAIN]
- Password
- Hit Save
After you tap Save you will be taken back to the Mail Settings screen.
If you chose IMAP setting for your server type, you will also need to complete the following:
- Click Advanced
- If it requests the Outgoing port, input the SMTP port detailed in the email that was sent to you when you signed up for the service. Make sure that you have authentication turned ON and SSL turned ON
You can also configure your iPhone or iPod Touch to store your "Sent" and "Draft" emails on the server. This can also be changed in the advanced settings area.
VPS Email Hosting
As above, but the outgoing mail server and ports will be as per your configuration
