To set up our POP3 or IMAP email hosting within Outlook 2003, on the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3/IMAP) window, enter your information as follows:
- In Microsoft Outlook 2003, from the Tools menu, select E-mail Accounts
- On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next
- For your server type, select POP3 or IMAP, and then click Next
- Your Name: Your first and last name
- E-mail Address: The full email address created in cPanel
- Password: Your email account password
- Incoming mail server: obtained from the welcome email sent during signup
- Outgoing mail server: obtained from the welcome email sent during signup. It should be the same as the incoming server
- Make sure, that the option Require logon using Secure Password Authentication ( SPA ) is unchecked.
- Click More Settings.
- Switch to the Outgoing Server tab and tick off My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Switch to the Advanced tab and enter the following settings:
- Incoming server: ( if you are using IMAP ): 993 port for SSL, 143 for TLS.
- Outgoing server (SMTP): see your Welcome email for SSL/TLS port.
